Acid Stain Concrete is Peeling

I recently acid stained our concrete about a week ago and it is starting to crumble and deteriorate and my wife is giving me a hard time. What did I do wrong?

This type of do-it-yourself project can be a little dicey if not done correctly. I talked with Brian from Diversified Concrete Crafters who has been staining concrete for over 17 years in our area and he thinks that the acid may have been too strong and should have been neutralized. Without actually looking at the project this is the diagnosis. You might have to possible sand the area and start over, depending on how deep and rough the crumbling is.
